Born in Glasgow, Scotland.

Studied at Glasgow School of Art and graduated with a D.A. (Printed Textiles) in 1978, followed by three years of costume-making at Scottish Opera and the Citizens Theatre, Glasgow.

Designed and made children’s clothing, as commissions and through shops then with the arrival of children became involved with the National Childbirth Trust illustrating pamphlets and designing merchandise.

This led to illustrating the first of twelve published children’s books and exhibiting in mixed exhibitions, mostly in Glasgow – The Royal Glasgow Institute, Paisley Art Institute, Glasgow Art Fair, Compass Gallery, Nancy Smillie Gallery, Glasgow Film Theatre, Paisley Art Centre.

Currently studying feltmaking and painting.
